Overview
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) India is seeking an Advisor for Geopolitics & Geo-economics in Asia to provide analytical insights and facilitate policy discussions. This role is based in New Delhi, India, and has an initial duration of 24 months, with a target start date between April and May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and management of projects related to geopolitical and geo-economic themes in Asia and the Pacific.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of regional and global trends affecting the Asia-Pacific.
- Organizing policy dialogues, conferences, and expert roundtables.
- Expanding and maintaining FES networks with policymakers, think tanks, universities, civil society organizations, and experts.
- Producing high-quality written materials such as analytical papers, policy briefs, and strategic reports.
- Participating in relevant national and international forums.
Requirements
- University degree in political science, international relations, economics, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in geopolitics and/or geo-economics, ideally with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region.
- Strong analytical and writing skills in English.
- Experience working with think tanks, academic institutions, international organizations, or foundations.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
- Experience working in intercultural and international environments.
- Knowledge of Asia-Pacific regional dynamics is an asset.
- German language skills are not mandatory but are an asset.
- A valid work permit for India is required.
