The African Development Bank (AfDB) Internship Program 2026 – Session 2 is now open for applications, offering a unique opportunity for students across member countries to gain hands-on professional experience within one of Africa’s leading development finance institutions.
Established in 1964, the African Development Bank is a premier pan-African institution committed to promoting sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty across the continent. The AfDB Internship Program is part of the Bank’s broader Talent Management Framework, designed to support its Ten-Year Strategy (2023–2032). This strategy focuses on driving inclusive growth, building resilient infrastructure, unlocking capital, and strengthening Africa’s economic systems.
The internship provides selected candidates with an opportunity to work within various departments at the Bank’s Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, as well as regional and country offices. Internships may be conducted either on-site or remotely, depending on departmental needs.
