Overview

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research is offering an exciting Traineeship within its Multilateral Diplomacy Programme (MDP)—a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the United Nations system while working in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate logistics before, during, and after training programmes.
Liaise with partner institutions and participants.
Prepare documentation and training materials.
Manage content on UNITAR’s e-learning platform.
Support communication and outreach efforts.
Assist in facilitating online sessions and webinars.
Accompany participants during field visits in Geneva.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Education, History, Languages, or related fields.
Start the traineeship within 2 years of graduation.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Experience in event planning or coordination.
Familiarity with online training or e-learning platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of the UN system and international affairs.
Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Mandarin Chinese is an asset.

Benefits

Although the traineeship is unpaid, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of 900 CHF to support transportation and miscellaneous expenses.
