Overview

The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Communications (DoC) to lead all external communications efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy supporting ALLMEP’s mission and goals.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and audiences.
• Manage ALLMEP’s brand, voice, and outward-facing communications.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee communications staff, interns, and consultants.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
• Establish benchmarks, KPIs, and systems to measure communications effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as advocacy and development.
• Cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets globally.
• Oversee press releases, op-eds, media advisories, and spokesperson preparation.
• Direct content creation across social media, website, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
• Oversee production of reports, briefs, and thought leadership publications.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align communications with advocacy and fundraising.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years in communications, PR, journalism, or marketing with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Proven success in media relations, securing top-tier press coverage.
• Experience managing multi-channel communications (press, social, web, email).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Familiarity with digital tools, analytics, and content management systems.
• Experience with podcasts, short films, and multimedia content production.

Benefits

This is a full-time, remote position with a salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and location.

Remote (Preference for candidates on the East Coast of the US, Europe, or Middle East)
