Overview

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a qualified Health and Nutrition Manager based in Gubio Borno, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of integrated primary health and nutrition services in Gubio and Ngala LGAs.
• Supervise health and nutrition teams.
• Support capacity building of clinicians and CMAM providers.
• Manage RUTF supply chains and ensure quality service delivery at health facilities.
• Engage with the community and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.
• Support emergency health responses and promote Infant and Young Child Feeding practices.
• Conduct growth monitoring and MUAC screenings.
• Strengthen referral pathways and integrate program activities with WASH, Protection, and Women Protection and Empowerment sectors.

Requirements

• Health professional with a degree in Nursing, Medicine, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience managing health and nutrition programs, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Strong program management, data analysis, team supervision, and coordination skills.
• Fluency in English and Hausa; knowledge of Kanuri is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
