Overview
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a qualified Health and Nutrition Manager based in Gubio Borno, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of integrated primary health and nutrition services in Gubio and Ngala LGAs.
- Supervise health and nutrition teams.
- Support capacity building of clinicians and CMAM providers.
- Manage RUTF supply chains and ensure quality service delivery at health facilities.
- Engage with the community and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.
- Support emergency health responses and promote Infant and Young Child Feeding practices.
- Conduct growth monitoring and MUAC screenings.
- Strengthen referral pathways and integrate program activities with WASH, Protection, and Women Protection and Empowerment sectors.
Requirements
- Health professional with a degree in Nursing, Medicine, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience managing health and nutrition programs, preferably in humanitarian settings.
- Strong program management, data analysis, team supervision, and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English and Hausa; knowledge of Kanuri is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
