Organizations, community groups, and climate innovators worldwide are invited to apply for the Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards 2026, an international initiative recognizing projects that advance climate action while promoting gender equality and women’s rights.
Now in its 11th edition, the prestigious awards celebrate innovative and impactful solutions that place gender justice at the center of efforts to address climate change. Applications are open free of charge and will be accepted until 12 July 2026.
The Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards are organized by the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) and Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF), with financial support from the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) and the European Union through the WomenPower2030 programme.
The initiative aims to showcase practical climate solutions that not only contribute to environmental sustainability but also empower women, strengthen communities, and address systemic inequalities.
Organizers are encouraging applicants and supporters to spread the opportunity across their networks to ensure broad participation from climate leaders around the world.

The Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards were established to highlight the critical role that women and marginalized communities play in climate action. Over the past decade, the awards have helped amplify successful grassroots and institutional initiatives that combine environmental sustainability with social justice, demonstrating that climate solutions are most effective when they are inclusive and equitable.
The Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) is one of the nine official stakeholder groups of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Established in 2009, the constituency brings together 52 women’s rights and environmental civil society organizations from around the world.
The WGC works to ensure that gender equality and women’s human rights remain central to international climate negotiations and policy implementation. Its members advocate for inclusive climate governance and support solutions that promote both environmental sustainability and social justice.
