The Consulate General of Switzerland in São Paulo has announced applications for its 2026–2027 Academic Internship Programme, offering recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain professional experience within a Swiss diplomatic representation abroad.
The full-time internship provides exposure to economic affairs, cultural diplomacy, political analysis and communications while allowing participants to experience the day-to-day operations of Switzerland’s foreign service in Brazil.
Applications are open until 28 June 2026, with the internship scheduled to begin on 1 October 2026.
The internship is hosted by the Consulate General of Switzerland in São Paulo, one of Switzerland’s key diplomatic representations in Latin America.
Designed for recent Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates, the programme aims to provide practical experience in international relations, foreign policy and diplomatic engagement.
Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to projects supporting Swiss interests in Brazil while gaining valuable insight into the work of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
The selected intern will support activities across several strategic areas of the Consulate’s work.
