Applications are now open for the AIG Public Leaders Programme, an initiative designed to strengthen leadership capacity among senior public sector officials across Africa. The programme aims to equip experienced government professionals with advanced leadership, policy, and management skills needed to effectively navigate complex institutions and rapidly changing governance environments.
The programme focuses on developing practical leadership capabilities that enable participants to improve decision-making, strengthen institutional performance, and drive meaningful reforms within public sector organisations. Through this initiative, participants will gain exposure to global best practices in governance, leadership development, and public administration while engaging with fellow public sector leaders from across the African continent.
Participants will benefit from high-quality training delivered by experienced professionals and policy experts. The programme also provides valuable networking opportunities with senior public officials and policy leaders, enabling participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build professional relationships that support collaboration and institutional improvement.
The programme is open to citizens of any African country who are currently working in the public sector. Eligible applicants must hold positions at Grade Level 13 or above, be between the ages of 35 and 54 years, and possess a minimum of seven years of experience in the public sector. Applicants must also provide a mandatory Letter of Endorsement from their Ministry, Department, or Agency confirming their role, department, and grade level.
Participation in the programme is free for selected applicants, offering public servants the opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities and contribute to strengthening governance systems within their respective institutions.
