Applications are now open for the AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2026.

This global fellowship is designed to support young leaders who are actively working to improve health outcomes in underserved communities around the world.

The initiative recognises and empowers individuals who are leading impactful efforts that strengthen health systems and promote health equity. Moreover, it addresses emerging health challenges linked to climate change and social inequality.

The fellowship provides an opportunity for young advocates to gain international exposure and leadership development. Successful applicants will also gain access to a global network of changemakers. Through this programme, selected fellows will receive mentorship, training, and resources. These can help them expand the reach and impact of their community-based health initiatives.

The programme is open to young leaders between the ages of 18 and 30 who are founders or leaders of registered non-profit organisations that have been operating for at least three years. Applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to improving youth health and wellbeing in underserved communities through sustainable programmes or initiatives.

Successful fellows will receive a fully funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town. In addition to attending the global summit, fellows will gain access to leadership training and mentorship opportunities. They will also join the broader One Young World global network of young leaders and professionals. The fellowship provides grant funding of either $10,000 or $50,000. This funding supports the implementation or expansion of health-focused projects that aim to improve community health outcomes.
