The Astra Fellowship is the flagship program of the Constellation Institute, designed to accelerate talent and research in the field of AI safety. It connects exceptional individuals with leading mentors, innovative research projects, and a robust professional network to ensure high-impact contributions in AI safety.

Eligibility

Motivated to reduce catastrophic risks from advanced AI
Driven to contribute to AI safety at a strategic or technical level
Possess relevant technical or domain-specific experience
Open to transitioning into full-time AI safety roles or founding organizations focused on AI safety

Prior AI safety experience is not required.

Benefits

Stipend: $8,400 per month for the program duration
Research Budget: Approximately $15,000 per empirical research fellow per month for compute and project costs
