Overview

The role involves working as a Backend Software Engineer on the Core Engineering team, responsible for enhancing document workflows and contributing to both existing and new projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship backend features in the Django monolith for core document workflows and new greenfield projects.
• Improve performance and reliability by optimizing database queries, endpoints, and caching layers.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers for a smooth user experience.
• Incorporate feedback from teammates to enhance coding skills.
• Write code reviews, tests, and focus on observability and performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in building backend applications.
• Solid experience with Python.
• Ability to optimize endpoint performance and database queries.
• Strong advocate for automated testing.
• Familiarity with engineering best practices and eagerness to improve.
• User-centric and passionate about work.

Location
