Overview
The Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice is seeking a Development Fellow to support their fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships efforts. This full-time, two-year position offers early- to mid-career professionals in-depth exposure to philanthropy and climate-focused grantmaking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain fundraising data in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and other tools.
- Support data migration and establish document management practices.
- Assist with donor outreach, scheduling meetings, and tracking engagement.
- Support the Strategic Partnerships Director (SPD) and CEO with task management and meeting notes.
- Assist with research for grant proposals and support development of submissions.
- Track grant agreements, funding timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Document processes and create templates to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to fundraising strategy development and team culture.
- Collaborate across teams on donor-related projects.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising events and donor stewardship activities.
- Assist in preparing presentations, marketing materials, and donor communications.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, or relationship management in nonprofit or philanthropic settings.
- Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly collaborative work style.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with climate justice, gender justice, and racial justice movements is desirable.
- Experience managing events, donor cultivation, or grantmaking processes is desirable.
- Commitment to equity, transparency, and organizational values aligned with systemic justice frameworks is desirable.
