Call for Applications African Youth Negotiators Fellowship Cohort 5

Applications are now open for the African Youth Negotiators Fellowship, a pan African program designed to equip young climate leaders with the knowledge and skills required to engage in global climate governance and negotiations under the UNFCCC system.

The fellowship is organized by the Green Africa Youth Organization in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Authority Ghana and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network. The program is structured in three phases including an online foundational learning stage a one week hybrid training in Ghana and an advanced mentorship and policy engagement phase leading up to COP31.

The program is open to young Africans aged 15 to 35 who are passionate about climate justice diplomacy and policy. Applicants must demonstrate interest or experience in climate policy and must complete the Climate Science 101 course on the Ghana Climate Literacy Portal before applying. Proficiency in English and full commitment to all phases of the program are required.

Participants will gain technical knowledge negotiation skills mentorship opportunities and practical exposure to climate policy processes at national regional and global levels.
