Overview
The ViGOR Consortium invites applications for its Research Fellowship Programme targeting early-career researchers in Central and East Africa to enhance local expertise in virus genomics and outbreak modelling.
Eligibility
- Early-career researchers with a Master’s or PhD qualification (within 6 years post-PhD)
- Affiliated full-time with a recognized academic institution, public health lab, or research institute in Central or East Africa
- Relevant experience in public health, genomics, bioinformatics, or epidemiological modelling
Benefits
- Research funding of up to £15,000 for Genomic Research Fellowships
- Research funding of up to £10,000 for Outbreak Modelling Fellowships
- Capacity-building opportunities, mentorship, and networking

Applicants must submit the following documents online:
- 2–3 page research proposal with budget and justification
- Updated CV (maximum 3 pages)
- Details of home institution supervisor
- Academic certificates
- Motivation statement
