Overview

The CIMPA-ICTP “Research in Pairs” Fellowship Programme 2027 presents a valuable opportunity for mathematicians in developing countries to expand their research horizons through international collaboration.

Eligibility

Hold a PhD in mathematics awarded at least three years prior to the application
Have been employed in one or more academic institutions in a developing country for the past five years
Be actively engaged in research, even while managing heavy teaching, supervision, or administrative duties

Priority is given to candidates who have had limited international travel opportunities in the last five years.

Benefits

The fellowship provides financial support of up to €10,000, covering personal expenses such as:

International travel
Accommodation
Insurance
Visa costs

The minimum duration of the research stay is five weeks, with an additional week required for a mini-course, making a total stay of at least six weeks.
