Commercial Counsel @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a business-minded Commercial Legal Counsel to join their legal team. This remote role focuses on drafting and negotiating customer agreements, serving as a key partner to various departments across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, revise and negotiate commercial contracts with customers and prospects for the EMEA region.
• Act as a designated legal contact to Fivetran’s EMEA enterprise sales team, including sales training related to customer agreements.
• Provide strategic guidance on contracting and process improvements.
• Maintain and update commercial legal team playbooks to align with internal stakeholders.
• Support key template documents and assist with the contracts management tool.
• Liaise with the product team regarding the impact of updates on agreements.
• Develop and implement best practices for contract lifecycle management.
• Stay updated on legal trends and industry best practices in SaaS and data privacy.
• Complete additional projects as needed for the growing company.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of experience in negotiating commercial contracts.
• Professional fluency in both English and French.
• Strong understanding of global commercial transactions, including SaaS and data processing agreements.
• A process-oriented mindset with the ability to optimize legal workflows.
• Qualified solicitor/lawyer in Ireland, England & Wales, or another European jurisdiction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach.
