CemAir (Pty) Ltd, a South African Part 121 / 135 airline based at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, seeks to employ a dynamic, results-driven Commercial Data Analyst.

Job Title: Commercial Data Analyst
Location: O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting commercial, revenue, pricing, sales, and distribution data to support strategic decision-making within the Commercial Department.

Main Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyse commercial, sales, revenue, booking, and distribution data from multiple sources
Identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting commercial performance
Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic business decisions

Monitor route, market, and channel performance
Analyse booking trends, demand patterns, yield performance, and revenue metrics
Support forecasting activities through data analysis and reporting
Produce regular revenue and performance reports

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations
Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc commercial reports
Automate reporting processes where possible

Data Quality and Presentation

Present findings and recommendations to management
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of commercial data
Identify and resolve data discrepancies

Maintain reporting standards and documentation
Support data validation and reconciliation processes

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background

Preferably Degree or Diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Business Science, or a related field

Skills and Experience

Strong computer skills, especially Excel
Experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Revenue Analysis, Commercial Analysis, or similar roles is advantageous

Experience within the aviation, travel, transportation, hospitality, or related industries is advantageous
Experience working with large datasets and reporting systems
