Overview
GAIN is seeking to recruit a Communication Associate to support the implementation of communications strategies by GAIN Nigeria, ensuring effective communication of information, advice, and guidance to key audiences for improving nutritious and safe diets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regular programming content such as interviews, podcasts, and opinion pieces, placing them in top media outlets in Nigeria.
- Identify key opportunities to profile country leadership in relevant settings such as events or webinars.
- Monitor media coverage and undertake perception studies to manage reputational threats.
- Support media outreach with consistent messaging aligned to GAIN Nigeria's brand.
- Work with project teams to deliver compelling content and imagery showcasing GAIN’s work in Nigeria.
- Strengthen digital communication through targeted engagement and maintenance of GAIN Nigeria’s digital media platforms.
- Provide quality audio-visual services and commission external vendors for multimedia tools.
- Identify areas for improvements in digital storytelling and engagement.
- Support end-to-end event management and coordination of high-level events.
Requirements
- Understanding of communication strategies with experience in coordinating communications.
- Proven track record in media promotion within development or private sectors.
- Ability to create various communication materials including reports, fact sheets, and articles.
- Proficiency in social media, graphic design, photography, and videography.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information.
- Collaborative mindset, adaptable to changing priorities.
Benefits
The starting gross salary is from NGN11,255,100 per annum, depending on experience.
