Overview

GAIN is seeking a Senior Associate, Policy Engagement to coordinate stakeholder engagement, advocacy campaigns, and evidence-based policy dialogues to enhance conditions for youth and women in agrifood systems in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate state-level policy engagement to advance nutrition and food systems priorities.
Manage partnerships with government, development partners, civil society, academia, and private sector actors.
Represent GAIN in key technical and policy forums and support alignment between state actions and national or global commitments.
Provide technical input into state policies and sector strategies.
Support state governance platforms and cross-sector collaboration to promote policy coherence.
Contribute to drafting reports, policy papers, and other documents to synthesize GAIN learnings.

Requirements

Understanding of food and nutrition security policy issues.
Experience in policy research and communication in advocacy or action-oriented environments.
Strong experience in stakeholder engagement at state level.
Ability to operate autonomously and with accountability.
