The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Bangladesh has announced applications for its 2026 Communications Internship Programme, offering young Bangladeshi students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advocacy, digital communications, and youth-focused campaigns.
Based in Dhaka, the internship will support UNFPA Bangladesh’s Communication Unit in planning and implementing major awareness campaigns around International Youth Day (12 August) and the International Day of the Girl Child (11 October).
The opportunity is specifically designed to engage young people in development communication while strengthening UNFPA’s outreach on critical social issues affecting youth and women.
The Communications Internship will be conducted under the direct supervision of the Chief of Communication at UNFPA Bangladesh. The selected intern will work closely with the communications team to support campaigns, events, digital engagement initiatives, and youth-centered storytelling projects.
UNFPA noted that youth remain at the center of its programming in Bangladesh. Through this internship, the organization aims to strengthen its connection with young audiences by incorporating fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and digital creativity into its communication efforts.
A structured work plan will be developed for the selected intern, including learning objectives, performance milestones, and regular progress reviews to ensure a meaningful professional development experience.
