    💼 Job Details

    • Programme: Health & Nutrition
    • Contract Duration: 3 Months
    • Grade: Level 5
    • Reports To: Nurse / Midwives
    • Safeguarding Level: High (direct work with children & communities)

    🎯 Role Purpose

    You will support Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) and local structures to deliver health interventions using Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) approaches.

    The role focuses on improving maternal, child health, and disease prevention at the community level.

    🛠 Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct community entry & sensitization activities
    • Work with community/religious leaders, youth & women groups
    • Support formation of:
      • Mother-to-Mother groups 👩‍👧
      • Father-to-Father groups 👨‍👦
    • Train and supervise Community Health Volunteers (CHVs)
    • Support disease surveillance & early referrals
    • Facilitate community health education sessions
    • Track activities and produce reports (weekly & situational)
    • Support data collection, surveys & assessments
    • Promote positive health behaviors and awareness
    • Identify vulnerable cases and link them to services

    🎓 Qualifications

    • B.Sc or equivalent in:
      • Nursing
      • Nutrition
      • Public Health
      • Or related field

    ✅ Experience & Skills

    • At least 1 year experience in community health mobilization
    • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work with diverse community groups
    • Basic data collection and reporting skills
    • Passion for humanitarian and health work
