Overview

Girl Plus Environment (GPE) is seeking a dynamic and community-driven professional for the role of Community Manager. This remote, part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about environmental justice and community building, specifically targeting candidates based in the United States, preferably from the Southeast region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and onboarding of new members.
• Manage and grow the GPE membership program.
• Foster an inclusive and engaging community environment.
• Drive participation in advocacy initiatives.
• Plan and execute virtual and in-person events.
• Oversee the GPE Slack community platform.
• Communicate effectively with members via various channels.
• Build relationships with external partners.

Requirements

• Experience in community organizing or similar roles.
• Strong interest in climate advocacy and environmental justice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to plan and execute events.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with digital tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack).
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Benefits
