Overview

Expensify is seeking a Compliance & Risk Generalist to join their Compliance Team. This remote role is focused on navigating regulatory requirements to support product growth and ensure compliance as the company expands into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operational work for the compliance program, ensuring accurate and timely completion of recurring responsibilities.
• Support vendor due diligence, regulatory reporting, licensing requirements, and audits.
• Collaborate on new feature proposals to identify compliance risks and provide solutions.
• Document compliance policies and processes to aid team decision-making.
• Engage in product discussions with a compliance-first mindset.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience on a Compliance Team in the FinTech industry or a technology company that processes payments.
• Experience with vendor due diligence, KYC, or transaction monitoring workflows.
• Skills in written communication with the ability to document decisions and prepare reports.
• Experience working cross-functionally with teams in project-focused scenarios.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
