Overview
The role involves managing customer and vendor contracts at Zello, a voice-first communication platform renowned for its push-to-talk technology, aimed at enhancing collaboration for desk-less workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the customer contract lifecycle, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating various agreements from first draft to signature.
- Determine when to involve outside counsel for novel issues and handle most situations independently.
- Develop contracting infrastructure, including playbooks and template libraries, to streamline routine deals.
- Manage the vendor lifecycle, including due diligence and contract renewals.
- Support compliance with GDPR and track contractual commitments related to Zello products and AI data changes.
- Assist in administering Zello's compliance stack and manage policy lifecycle and periodic reviews.
- Utilize AI for repetitive tasks like first-pass reviews and clause comparisons.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing commercial contracts in-house.
- Highly organized, with a track record of tracking obligations and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, capable of dissecting complex contracts.
- Familiarity with legal concepts, possibly through prior exposure to law or attorneys.
- Experience in using AI tools or a strong interest in integrating AI into workflows.
- Awareness of governance, risk, and compliance concepts.
- Proactive in identifying and improving error-prone processes.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly to various stakeholders.
