Role Snapshot: Counselor Educator (MSF)

📍 Location: Gummi, Zamfara State
📅 Deadline: 7 August 2026

🎯 Focus: Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

💡 What You’ll Actually Be Doing

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling
• Support malnourished children, caregivers, and survivors of violence
• Conduct psychosocial assessments & intake interviews
• Deliver psychoeducation sessions (coping skills, emotional support)
• Work closely with:
  • Doctors & nurses
  • Health promotion teams
• Refer complex cases for psychiatric care
• Keep accurate records and reports

👉 In simple terms: You’ll be directly helping vulnerable people cope mentally and emotionally in a humanitarian setting.

✅ Do You Qualify?

🎓 Education

• Degree in:
  • Psychology
  • Counseling
  • Social Work (or related)

⏳ Experience

• Minimum: 1 year
• Strong advantage if:
  • You’ve worked with NGOs
  • You’ve handled trauma, GBV, or community health cases

• Ability to handle stressful environments
