Overview

Ipsos Africa Centre for Development Research and Evaluation is currently recruiting for the position of Data Support Officer across all states in Nigeria. The role focuses on conducting surveys in critical development areas such as youth employment, education, maternal and child health, and trade systems.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct surveys with selected study participants according to approved sampling plans and data collection protocols.
Administer structured questionnaires using digital platforms such as CommCare.
Ensure informed consent is obtained and conduct professional, neutral interviews.
Accurately record responses and upload completed surveys in a timely manner.
Report any fieldwork challenges to supervisors.

Requirements

Early to mid-career field researchers with up to six years of experience in survey data collection or field research.
Proficiency in digital data collection tools.
Ability to manage intensive fieldwork schedules.
Applicants between the ages of 18 and 35 are encouraged to apply.
Minimum of a Degree or HND.
Clear understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to organizational safeguarding policies.
