Design Technologist @Elation

Overview

The role of Design Technologist involves owning the design and engineering of Elation’s design system while defining how AI-native systems compose UI. This position is dedicated to enhancing physician and patient quality of life through a SaaS cloud-based clinical platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, strategy, design, engineering, and evolution of Elation’s design system.
• Lead an AI-agent-first rearchitecting of the design system, encoding composition rules and component guidelines.
• Define Elation’s AI-native experience through component design, pattern development, and a strategic point of view.
• Shape the application’s design direction and visual language.
• Understand and research users — their problems, workflows, and jobs-to-be-done.
• Support partners in design and engineering in leveraging the design system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience creating and shipping complex, web-based products in a cross-functional team.
• 2+ years leading cross-functional projects or initiatives with a proven record of driving strategy and execution.
• Strong in both design craft and building with modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of design systems and experience in health tech or compliance-heavy industries.
• Experience with AI-native work practices and agentic tools.
