    Overview

    The Director, Email Deliverability at Postscript will own the strategy and infrastructure that ensures email messages reach the primary inbox for their customers. This foundational leadership role requires building the email deliverability function from the ground up, focusing on IP and domain architecture, authentication standards, and mailbox-provider relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliverability Strategy & Sender Reputation
      • Own the end-to-end email deliverability strategy, including IP pool architecture and domain strategy.
      • Design and manage IP and domain warming programs.
      • Establish authentication standards and monitor sender reputation and inbox placement.
      • Keep the company ahead of evolving mailbox-provider requirements.
    • Customer Deliverability & Advisory
      • Serve as the senior deliverability expert for brands, auditing programs and diagnosing issues.
      • Lead onboarding for brands migrating email to Postscript.
      • Translate complex deliverability concepts into actionable guidance.
      • Partner with customers to protect and enhance their inbox placement.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Foundation-Building
      • Partner with Product and Engineering to build deliverability tooling and influence the platform roadmap.
      • Establish processes and standards to scale deliverability.
      • As the function matures, hire and lead a team of deliverability specialists.
    • Industry Expertise & Compliance
      • Maintain expert knowledge of the deliverability landscape.
      • Build relationships with mailbox providers and ensure compliance with policies.
      • Leverage AI tools for deliverability monitoring and customer guidance.

    Requirements

    • 8+ years of dedicated email deliverability experience, preferably at an ESP or high-volume sending platform.
    • Deep technical knowledge of email authentication and sender reputation.
    • Experience with diagnosing and remediating inbox-placement issues.
    • Fluency with Google Postmaster Tools and related mailbox provider requirements.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce and DTC brands.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
