Director, Engineering, Enterprise @Zapier

Overview

Zapier is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead its Enterprise engineering organization as it grows. This role is pivotal to Zapier's strategy, focusing on governance, identity, access, audit, and administrative control for AI in enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Zapier's Enterprise Governance in partnership with Product and Design leaders.
• Own the technical viewpoint on identity, access, audit, and policy.
• Develop the systems that allow enterprises to govern AI, including identity and permissions controls and audit trails.
• Ensure the reliability of Zapier's identity and administration infrastructure.
• Build a strong engineering organization with clear growth paths for managers and individual contributors.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and enterprise customers to translate needs into an engineering roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience in governance and identity management.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations through change.
• Strong technical direction and comfort with shaping strategy in collaboration with Product and Design.
• Thorough understanding of customer and stakeholder needs, especially in enterprise settings.
• Ability to measure delivery, reliability, and quality using data-driven approaches.
• Experience with AI-native engineering practices and tools.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and communication skills.
