Director, Product Marketing – Security, AI and Emerging Technology @Fastly

Overview

Fastly is seeking a Director of Product Marketing for its Security and AI product areas. This role involves leading a team to establish Fastly as a trusted player in rapidly evolving markets, ensuring strategic alignment with product marketing and growth efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a product marketing team focused on Security and AI & Emerging Technology.
• Guide the creation and execution of go-to-market plans for product launches.
• Develop overarching narratives for security and AI/emerging technology that resonate with target buyers.
• Partner with Analyst Relations to enhance understanding of Fastly's narrative.
• Represent product lines in company QBRs, ensuring visibility and awareness.
• Collaborate with Partner Marketing and Sales teams on go-to-market efforts.
• Create sales training and materials in partnership with the enablement team.
• Apply competitive intelligence to improve product positioning.
• Ensure customer insights are accurately represented across marketing efforts.
• Support the Advocacy team in creating customer proof materials.
• Align product strategy, messaging, and packaging across teams.
• Develop unique assets for Growth Marketing and Campaigns.
• Find differentiated market angles for positioning and evangelism.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product marketing experience, with 5+ years leading teams in security or AI/ML.
• Technical understanding of cloud and application security, AI/ML concepts.
• Strong analytical abilities and copywriting skills.
• Comfortable presenting to various stakeholders.
• Proven success in product marketing and sales enablement.
• Detail-oriented with a structured approach to processes.

Location

This role can be performed remotely within the US, with a preference for candidates near the following locations: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; and Denver, CO.
