Overview
The Director of Revenue will lead global revenue recognition and strategy at NiCE, overseeing a diverse portfolio, including SaaS, professional services, and perpetual license sales. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with ASC 606 while driving accurate revenue recognition and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606.
- Manage the review and interpretation of complex, multi-element arrangements.
- Establish and maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) frameworks for all performance obligations.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, and Business Finance for non-standard deals and contract terms.
- Design and implement scalable processes, controls, and systems for global revenue recognition.
- Enhance revenue-related KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for executive visibility.
- Provide technical accounting guidance for new complex deals and international expansion.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process.
- Prepare revenue-related schedules and footnote disclosures for external financial reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on all revenue-related matters.
- Drive process standardization across all regions and entities.
- Lead and mentor a global revenue team across multiple time zones.
- Foster collaboration with Accounting, Business Finance, Sales, and Legal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 8+ years in revenue accounting, operations, or finance within a SaaS or software company.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 and SSP methodologies.
- Experience structuring complex contracts and supporting deal processes.
- Proficiency with systems such as Workday, Zuora, and BI tools.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
