Overview

This job opportunity offers a position as a Driver at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Nigeria, where you will support field operations by providing safe and efficient transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, partners, and materials according to CRS policies.
• Carry out daily assignments including pick-ups, deliveries, and field movements.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fueling, and safety equipment readiness.
• Accurately record trips, fuel usage, and inspections using digital systems.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, or security incidents promptly.
• Support preventive maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with CRS safety and fleet procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods and equipment.
• Promote safe and fuel-efficient driving practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/GCE or equivalent.
• Valid Nigerian driver’s license with strong knowledge of traffic regulations.
• 3–5 years of professional driving experience (INGO experience preferred).
• Basic vehicle maintenance and defensive driving knowledge.
• Familiarity with GPS and mobile/digital reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (local languages are an advantage).
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging field environments.
