    Overview

    The Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) invites applications for an Early Career Scientist (ECS) to join its Executive Committee for a two-year term.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Organizing ECS-related activities at annual meetings
    • Delivering presentations to ECS audiences
    • Recommending best practices and initiatives for SCOR
    • Responding to emails, reviewing documents, and attending meetings (virtually or in person)

    Requirements

    • No more than 10 years from PhD award, excluding family leave
    • Hold a professional position related to ocean science
    • Demonstrate good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
    • Candidates from developing countries are encouraged to apply
    • Candidates do not need to be from SCOR member countries

    Benefits

    Travel costs for meetings will be covered by SCOR.

    Global (with remote participation options)
