    Key Responsibilities

    • Supporting manuscript preparation and submission into production
    • Coordinating peer review processes for proposals and manuscripts
    • Managing publishing schedules and tracking contracted titles
    • Overseeing permissions and publication agreements
    • Collaborating across departments including marketing, production, and finance
    • Assisting authors and editors in manuscript development and preparation
    • Tracking project timelines and updating editorial schedules
    • Managing permissions for copyrighted material
    • Creating and distributing publication agreements
    • Preparing materials for editorial board meetings
    • Maintaining organized filing systems and databases
    • Scheduling meetings, conferences, and internal communications
    • Acting as a liaison between internal departments

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in office software and email applications
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Preferred: Bachelor's or graduate degree, familiarity with academic publishing
