The Spring 2026 Early Investment Grant from The New York Women’s Foundation supports grassroots organizations and community-based initiatives advancing gender, racial, and economic justice. It targets early-stage or under-resourced organizations working to create transformative change.
Eligible applicants must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. They must operate within the United States and serve communities located within the five boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island). The foundation prioritizes organizations working with women, girls, gender-expansive individuals, immigrants, LGBTQI+ communities, low-income families, and people with disabilities, particularly those serving low- to moderate-income communities.
Organizations are encouraged to attend the information session on March 5, 2026. Applications must be prepared and submitted through the foundation’s online grant management platform. Submission requires organizational background, mission and program description, community impact statement, budget and funding plan, and leadership/governance details. Selected organizations may be invited for a site visit between April 13 and May 1, 2026. Final funding decisions will be communicated by June 1, 2026.
