Overview
The role involves working as a Consulting Architect for Elastic in the Public Sector, focusing on delivery and managing stakeholder relationships at high levels of Government. The position emphasizes customer advocacy and the ability to pivot between delivery and strategic engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong customer relationships and advocate for their needs.
- Pursue customer engagements that support their strategic goals.
- Own the strategic roadmap for customers, conducting quarterly sessions with stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and integrate Elastic products and APIs in mission-critical settings.
- Develop demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing the Elastic Stack.
- Tackle complex data problems and collaborate with various teams to enhance features.
- Engage with the Sales team to define opportunities and assess technical risks.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Consultant in professional services.
- Current UK security clearance or willingness to obtain it.
- Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker on enterprise software technology.
- Understanding of open-source technology and proficiency in a programming language.
- Experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and development perspective.
- Knowledge of the information retrieval and analytics domain.
- Familiarity with Linux, Java, and databases.
