Overview

1Password is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Credential Governance product, which aims to secure enterprise credentials and enhance visibility and accountability. This remote role is available for candidates in the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the team’s strategic direction and connect it to company objectives.
• Build alignment and accountability around team goals and results.
• Partner with senior engineers to develop the team’s technical vision.
• Work with product, design, and cross-functional partners to define solutions for customers.
• Scope and plan key deliverables, guiding the team through execution.

• Provide technical leadership and coach engineers in their skill development.

Requirements

• Several years of experience managing engineers and leading production service operations.
• A working understanding of web development and backend technologies.
• A track record of creating a supportive team environment.
• Experience with project delivery and maintaining a strategic roadmap.
• Ability to discern when to prioritize short-term challenges for long-term value.
• Experience in managing remote or distributed teams.
• Good judgment on using AI tools for efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
