Overview
This role at Dropbox focuses on building the knowledge layer that connects content, context, and action within AI systems. The Enterprise Context Architect will lead the strategy, architecture, and standards essential to ensure that enterprise knowledge is reliable, current, and permissions-aware for both human and AI use.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the source-of-truth strategy for enterprise knowledge, including authoritative systems and indexing processes.
- Establish enterprise standards that make content AI-ready, ensuring proper structure and metadata.
- Design control models for AI actions, including eligibility rules and escalation paths.
- Lead platform and connector strategy across the content stack, partnering with IT and Engineering.
- Build the federated operating model for enterprise content, ensuring stewardship across functions.
- Define content quality in an AI context, implementing retrieval and grounding evaluations.
- Co-own criteria for AI content eligibility and permissions modeling with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in structuring and maintaining information at enterprise scale, including 2 years with AI retrieval and grounding.
- Experience preparing content for AI consumption, with knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation and semantic models.
- Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs and metadata standards.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders in Engineering, IT, and Legal.
- Sound judgment in balancing central standards with domain expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Atlassian, and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with structured authoring and knowledge operations methodologies.
- Experience with AI evaluation tooling.
- Background in regulated or high-risk content domains.
- Working knowledge of NIST AI RMF or OWASP GenAI guidance.

Benefits
Compensation varies based on location, with ranges as follows:
- Zone 2: $159,100 — $215,300 USD
- Zone 3: $141,400 — $191,400 USD
