Overview

Organizations working at the intersection of digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and public health can secure significant funding through a new European Union call under Horizon Europe, aimed at advancing digital transformation in health research across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Eligibility

Applications must be submitted by international consortia made up of multiple partner organizations, including:

Universities and academic research institutions
Hospitals and clinical research centers
Public health organizations
Technology companies and digital innovation organizations
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

Consortia must include at least three independent organizations from different countries, with at least one partner based in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Benefits

Selected projects can receive up to €2.25 million in funding, with a total budget of €18 million aimed to support approximately 8 projects. Funding aims to promote collaboration and strengthen research infrastructure.
