Overview
Grafana Labs is a remote-only company known for Grafana Cloud, a managed observability platform utilized by over 10,000 organizations. The EMEA Events Manager role involves owning and delivering regional events across EMEA and later APJ, focusing on comprehensive event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute in-person events portfolio, including user conferences and third-party sponsorships across EMEA and APJ.
- Oversee event logistics including venue sourcing, negotiation, vendor coordination, booth design, and on-site execution.
- Manage event project timelines, budgets, contracts, and vendor communication while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Define success metrics, provide post-event analysis, and drive actionable improvements.
- Create event assets ensuring brand consistency and quality execution.
- Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance planning efficiency and reporting processes.
- Proactively identify risks and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams to align event strategies with business objectives.
- Guide junior team members, contractors, and agency partners while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- Location in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, or Germany.
- 4+ years of event management experience, including end-to-end conference ownership.
- Experience managing the full event lifecycle, including venue sourcing, budget management, and on-site delivery.
- Capability as primary on-site lead for events with strong decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time, including long-haul travel for events.
- Curiosity and adaptability towards new marketing technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in registration platforms like Zuddl, and familiar with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred.
