Forus is hiring a consultant (or team) to support the development of the African Regional Advocacy Strategy, a member-led process spanning five sub-regions: West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, and North Africa.
The consultant will facilitate real civil society voices into a continental advocacy vision connecting to the African Union, regional economic communities, development finance, and the post-2030 agenda.
This is an entirely remote position with a budget of €20,000. The deadline for applications is 30 June 2026.
Forus is an innovative global network of national NGO platforms and regional coalitions working to strengthen civil society’s collective voice, influence, and capacity to drive social change.
It connects 74 national NGO platforms and 8 regional coalitions across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific, representing over 24,000 civil society organizations worldwide.
The consultant will facilitate a member-led process to develop practical sub-regional advocacy strategies and a continental advocacy framework rooted in African civil society realities.
The goal is to identify shared priorities, leverage influence opportunities, and create actionable plans for regional and continental impact.
