    About Data-Pop Alliance

    Data-Pop Alliance is a global non-profit ‘think-and-do tank’ dedicated to leveraging data and AI for positive social change.

    Founded in 2013 through collaborations with Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, MIT Media Lab, and ODI, DPA brings together researchers, practitioners, and activists to address human problems, promote data literacy, and transform societal systems.

    Partnering with UN agencies, the World Bank, GIZ, Oxfam, and others, DPA works across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia with a team of approximately 20 professionals committed to social impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    Fundraising & Proposal Development

    • Lead end-to-end proposal lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission
    • Map and monitor potential donors, funding sources, and partner organizations
    • Evaluate funding opportunities for strategic fit with DPA’s mission

    • Draft high-quality proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest
    • Coordinate input from project managers and subject matter experts
    • Manage follow-ups and support budget preparation

    Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations

    • Serve as primary external contact for current and prospective funding partners
    • Communicate proposal requirements and manage submission logistics
    • Maintain regular updates on proposal pipeline and progress

    Strategy & Learning

    • Track fundraising activities and produce analytical insights
    • Identify trends to enhance fundraising effectiveness
    • Support organizational strategy development based on fundraising data

    Candidate Profile & Qualifications

    Required

    • Graduate degree in International Development, Relations, Communications, Business, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of successful experience in fundraising and partnership development
    • Proven success in development, humanitarian, human rights, gender equality, or social policy sectors

    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple proposals
    • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or French (both highly desirable)
    • Experience working across cultures and with global teams

    • Advanced knowledge of project budgeting and financial management
    • Proficiency in MS Office and online collaboration tools
    • Self-motivated, independent worker in a remote environment
