    Role Overview: Program Lead – Agriculture and Food Systems

    The Program Lead will be instrumental in advancing Ambition Loop’s mission by leading high-impact projects within the Agriculture and Food Systems portfolio.

    The role involves managing multi-stakeholder initiatives, mobilizing finance, and fostering strategic partnerships to transform agriculture and food systems for positive outcomes for people, nature, and climate.

    The candidate will work closely with the Programme Directors and collaborate across regions and sectors, including policy-makers, private sector, civil society, and financial institutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Management

    • Oversee the delivery of one or more projects in the Agriculture and Food Systems portfolio
    • Manage program operations, grant reporting, risk mitigation, and monitoring & evaluation
    • Ensure effective resource allocation, role clarity, and accountability
    • Adapt project strategies based on evolving contexts and emerging opportunities

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Cultivate and maintain high-value relationships with diverse stakeholders
    • Build trust and identify opportunities for collaboration across governments, NGOs, private sector, and international agencies

    Financial and Strategic Development

    • Support the creation of investable opportunities and facilitate deal-making
    • Lead strategy and process design, including co-creation processes and multi-stakeholder coalitions
    • Contribute to team strategy and overarching theory of change

    Convening, Communication, and Outreach

    • Design and facilitate meetings and multi-stakeholder engagement processes
    • Develop key messages, press releases, social media content, and speeches
    • Lead funder engagement and grant reporting, support proposal development

    Team and Budget Management

    • Supervise project team members ensuring clear roles and effective delivery
    • Manage project budgets and ensure accurate financial reporting

    Candidate Profile

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Environmental Studies, Development, Agriculture, or related fields
    • 7-10+ years of senior experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in international development, climate, finance, or agriculture sectors

    • Proven track record in project leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning
    • Experience in sustainable finance and mobilizing investment is highly desirable
    • Strong systems thinking and ability to translate technical data into strategic insights

    • Excellent command of English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese required, with a good understanding of the other
    • Familiarity with Latin America and the Global South preferred
    • Ability to work independently in a remote, dynamic environment with adaptability and strong organizational skills
