The OpenAI is currently hiring an Executive Communications Manager to join its Communications team. This role offers a unique opportunity for communications professionals to work closely with senior leadership at one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with senior executives to design and implement communications strategies
Shape leadership narratives across key organizational themes
Coordinate messaging across media appearances, events, podcasts, and social channels
Draft high-impact materials including talking points, social media posts, and executive briefings
Translate complex AI, product, and policy topics into accessible communication
Manage executive accounts across platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Threads
Prepare leaders for high-visibility appearances including media interviews, public events, and digital engagements
Evaluate when to engage in public conversations and anticipate important industry moments

Requirements

Approximately 7 years of experience in communications, technology communications, or social media management
Experience directly managing executive or talent social media accounts
Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a strong understanding of storytelling and digital communication formats
Hands-on familiarity with major social media platforms
Strong judgment, discretion, and collaboration skills across multiple teams
