Qualitative Research Assistant @Jhpiego

Overview

The Qualitative Research Assistant will support a gender analysis project for Jhpiego, focusing on integrating Sexual and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH) with HIV, TB, and Malaria (HTM) services in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in a 2-day data collection training.
• Field test data collection tools in selected locations.
• Screen, recruit, and consent study participants.
• Conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions.
• Notify the study team on any Severe Adverse Events or ethical issues.
• Ensure data security and manage recording devices.
• Submit activity reports and regularly upload audio recordings.
• Handle confidential and sensitive data with integrity.

Requirements

• Prior experience in similar research projects is an advantage.
• At least 2 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in qualitative research methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good spoken and written English and local languages.
• Experience with transcription and facilitating discussions on sensitive issues.
• Experience in interviewing key populations is an advantage.
