This program offers fully funded study opportunities for academically strong South African students with proven financial need through the 2027 External Bursary Programme.

Eligibility

To qualify for the 2027 Nedbank Bursary, applicants must:

Be South African citizens
Intend to study or already be studying at a South African public university or university of technology
Pursue an undergraduate or honours degree in an approved field
Achieve at least a 65% average in subjects related to their intended qualification
Demonstrate financial need
Have completed Grade 12 with Mathematics (Mathematics Literacy does not qualify)

The bursary is open to Grade 12 learners, first-year university students, and continuing students who meet the academic and financial criteria.
