The Falling Walls Lab Gauteng 2026 is a global platform for young innovators to present their ideas in science and society, taking place on 5 August 2026 at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Eligibility

• Open to students and early-career professionals across all disciplines.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Meet one academic condition:
  • Currently enrolled as a university student
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (within 10 years)
  • Hold a Master’s degree (within 7 years)
  • Hold a PhD (within 5 years)
