The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is offering a paid internship opportunity in Geneva focused on global communication and social media. This six-month position provides hands-on experience in social media management, digital storytelling, and international outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Organizing the annual WMO calendar competition
• Developing and implementing social media marketing strategies
• Managing and scheduling content across social media platforms
• Assisting with editorial planning and content calendars
• Creating engaging digital content such as animations, videos, and graphics
• Supporting the digitization of WMO’s photo archives
• Monitoring social media performance and preparing reports

Requirements

• Strong foundation in digital communication and media production
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies
• Experience with tools like Hootsuite, Trello, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• A strong visual sense and interest in photography and video production
• Ability to multitask and collaborate in a fast-paced team
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
