Overview

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is offering a 12-month Internship in Data Science and Analytics designed for students and recent graduates seeking practical experience in a global, high-impact organization.

Key Responsibilities

Building prototypes and proof-of-concept models
Improving machine learning systems for text and image analysis
Conducting classification, similarity search, and named entity recognition tasks
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define project requirements
Identifying and integrating valuable data sources
Enhancing efficiency in data collection, processing, and analysis

Requirements

A degree in data science, computer science, or related disciplines such as statistics or applied mathematics
Proficiency in Python
Knowledge of machine learning techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning methods
Familiarity with large language models and multimodal systems
Experience with PyTorch, Transformers, and Hugging Face is desirable
Strong written and spoken English skills
Be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time university study
Have no prior participation in the IAEA internship programme
