Overview

The Summer 2026 Graduate Fellow – Government Reform Strategy position offers graduate students hands-on experience on Capitol Hill, working directly on policy initiatives to improve government functions with the Democratic staff of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC).

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting policy and economic research related to government reform
• Supporting legislative and policy analysis
• Assisting with the development of reports, briefs, or background materials
• Collaborating with committee staff on strategic initiatives
• Participating in discussions and briefings related to economic policy

Requirements

Graduate students with strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced policy environment are encouraged to apply. Backgrounds in economics, public policy, political science, government or legislative affairs, political science, public administration, law or regulatory policy are particularly relevant.
